Illegal Lot Splits

In a recent Scorecard Posting on the SGC website, we gave the commissioners a mixed score for the handling of illegal lot splits.  Although they expressed an opinion that the practice must be stopped, they took no formal action.  Instead, they instructed the Planning and Zoning Administrator to draft an ordnance prohibiting it.

Recent Update Scoring Passage of Comprehensive Plan

In a recent update to the Smart Growth Coalition Website, we gave the Fremont County Commissioners a two thumbs up score for finally approving a revised Comprehensive Plan.  Irregardless of how good it was, some folks thought it should have been a two thumbs down since it took them more than two years to finalize the upgrades.
